Food for Thought

What would you say defines ancient civilization? Would you consider Native Americans as an ancient civilization?

I think ancient civilizations need to have lived before technology including things like candles and other things that started the evolution of technology so to speak. Also I think Native Americans count as ancient civilizations. But I would like to hear your thoughts. Please post a comment and tell me what you think.

Here’s a hyperlink to the dictionary definition.

I was looking for information on the Malta when I came across this website. It has very interesting things about there religion and woman.

Here’s the website!

Mysterious Malta

I call the Malta mysterious because, they are the oldest civilization in the world, they date back to 6000 BC.  Just like the Mayan’s at one point they vanished. No one can find out where they went or even exactly when.

Here is a creepy story of some people visiting Malta tombs, it’s a little long so feel no pressure to read it… http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/esp_malta02.htm

Here’s an example of what a Malta tomb might look like.

Malta

The Maltese lived in what is now known as Malta.

Before I tell you more, I want you to get a glimpse of what some of the civilization looked like.

Dear Readers

Dear readers,

I want to inform you that I will be taking a break from the Inca I will come back to them, but later. I will write about the Maltese!

Terraces

The Inca made amazing terraces, because the lived on mountains they cut into the ground to make flat areas. I think they look like gigantic steps. On terraces there were stone steps to get to the next terrace. Also to get water to the crops on the terraces they used something called an aqueduct. An aqueduct is basically a stone rimmed shallow stream that runs over the terraces and onto them! Here are pictures of Inca terraces and aqueducts.

Inca Emperors

As you can probably tell the Incas were ruled by emperors! Emperors were very respected and were even thought to be a living god! Emperors were so pampered they had the choice of all Inca woman for serving meals (the meals were fed to them by hand) and getting him clothed. Also, they only wore there clothing once, then they were ceremonially burned.

Here is a link about the Incas I would highly recommend to skip to 3:52 and watch through to 6:22.
